Girl Scout
Tea &
Tour
Enjoy a "Victorian
tea" like Girl Scout founder Juliette Gordon Low might have served in
1912 at
the first Girl Scout meeting.
Tour the Falcon
Rest mansion and hear amusing stories about the Faulkner family
who lived there 100 years ago.
Tours are tailored
to age group of your troop, from Daisies to Seniors.
Girls have
fun while learning that history is simply a record of real people like
them who lived in a different time.
Tea is served in
the Victorian Tea Room, with menus ranging from a simple tea with
cookies and lemonade to a formal afternoon tea of hot scones with cream
and jam, tea sandwiches, fruit, assorted sweets, and hot spiced tea or
lemonade.
Boy Scouts love
Falcon Rest, too ...
For
Cub Scouts and older boys, history comes alive with stories of the five
Faulkner children, a tour of their family's mansion, and old-fashioned
games on the grounds. (Let us know if a few ghost stories would
be appropriate for your group!) Add a "Coney dog," fries, and
pink lemonade llike the Faulkner children might have
enjoyed on a trip to an 1890s amusement park.
