“Murder at the Mansion”

Travel through spectacular Tennessee scenery straight into the 1890s at Falcon Rest, the Victorian mansion where history is fun.

You’ll be guests of “Gorilla Pants” manufacturer Clay Faulkner and his wife Mary at a banquet celebrating the 1897 opening of their mansion in McMinnville. Falcon Rest actors portray the Faulkners, but the real stars of this original murder mystery play are our group members, who assume the characters of actual people from the 1890s when they arrive. There are no lines to remember or pressure to participate, so you’ll be free to ad lib as much or as little as you like – which makes for some pretty hilarious dialogue. After a dastardly murder interrupts the banquet, audience members help special guest Buffalo Bill Cody discover which one of them is the culprit.

The show takes place during a delicious meal. Once the murder is solved, guests are free to tour Falcon Rest Mansion at their own pace. Called “Tennessee’s Biltmore” by PBS, the 10,000 square foot mansion is filled with museum quality antiques, and some say it’s presided over by Mr. Faulkner’s friendly ghost. After the tour, you can explore the landscaped gardens and shop for souvenirs of your visit to the 1890s in Falcon Rest’s Victorian Gift Shop.
