Quality You Can Always Count On
Several years ago, I was at a meal with a number of tour operators during the Travel South Showcase. Out of the blue, an operator who had brought several groups to Falcon Rest volunteered this comment: "There are four or five places I've taken groups where I never have to worry. I know everything will be right ... from the attraction itself, to the food, the entertainment, the service, and the schedule. "Your place is one of them." Talk about an endorsement! I was complimented, but I soon realized that he had put his finger on the secret of Falcon Rest's success: quality has always been our first priority. Part of that is because the Victorian lady and I are a little on the compulsive side. It's against our nature to do anything half-way. Sometimes it makes more work for us, but we always want to be proud of the results. In addition to that, no matter how successful we become, we'll never forget where we came from, when those first group leaders and tour operators trusted us with their customers ... and their reputations. Every customer who walks into our door is just as important to us as those first ones were. Most of the people who travel with you may have never heard of Falcon Rest. They're trusting you to give them a quality experience. Updated Web Site and URL As part of our never-ending quest to improve our quality, we've just updated our web site and simplified our web and e-mail address. Be sure to look at our updated Press and Publicity page. You'll find new text blocks, art work, photos, and posters designed to help you sell your group tours to Falcon Rest. We've changed our official web address to www.falconrest.com, and our official e-mail address to falconrest@falconrest.com. This is the last major step in the transition we began last April, when we changed the name of the mansion from Historic Falcon Manor to its original name: Falcon Rest. Up until now, we've had both www.falconrest.travel and www.falconrest.com just pointing to our original www.falconmanor.com URL. (When you've been online since 1996, you don't want to lose all that search engine history. It took a while to figure out how to transfer the history to a new address.) We decided to use the ".com" extension instead of ".travel" for our primary URL and e-mail because it is so much more familiar. Most people we talk to -- even many in the tourism industry -- still haven't heard of ".travel." So, if you get a chance, update our contact information in your address book. In the meantime, don't worry. Any of the URL's or e-mail addresses above will get you to our web site and our in-box -- which is where we hope you'll be! Since our last newsletter, we've added the many new friends the Victorian Gentleman met at Heartland, Bank Travel, and Travel South to our mailing list.
